नाराज़ (naaraaz)

Common Mistakes: 1) Learners often reach for पर (par) or को (ko) to mark the person one is upset with, copying the English 'angry at/with him' -- but नाराज़ (naaraaz) takes से (se): मुझसे नाराज़ मत हो (mujhse naaraaz mat ho, 'don't be upset with me'), not मुझ पर (mujh par). 2) As an invariant adjective, it does not change form for gender or number the way कड़ा (kadaa)-type adjectives do -- वह नाराज़ है (vah naaraaz hai) works for both he and she.
