Common Mistakes: 1) Learners often try to make the person the subject, saying something like मैं सूझा (main soojhaa) -- but सूझना (soojhnaa) is one of Hindi's involuntary-experience verbs, so the idea does the 'occurring' and the person only receives it via को (ko). 2) It's commonly used in the negative to mean drawing a blank -- कुछ नहीं सूझ रहा (kuchh nahiin soojh rahaa, 'nothing is coming to me') -- which learners may not think to reach for instinctively.
